i remember when me old mate Tel Boy showed me this clip back in the mid-eighties I'd never heard of The DC and it just blew me away. Bruce Mitchell is so in the zone it's perfect. This has to go down as an all-time top live performance. After all these years I still love it and I'm so glad it has been made available here. About once a week I turn this up and dance like crazy to it, all zoned out, just like Bruce.

Vini Reilly should officially go down as one of the most humble, most greatest, most unheard of, and most completely under-rated artist to ever exist. The man makes some of the most amazing/dreamy guitar playing i've ever heard, yet you rarely see him on lists of greatest guitarists ever. He sounds so way ahead of his time here. He's long due. He doesn't complain and Even though he does this for the music, he's got to be recognized for his artistry more! Seriously!!

your not an idiot, anyone who plays the guitar cant play by ear without developing a musical ear, its the same thing with everyone else. you need to develop an ear and learn about notes chord construction and scales etc. its not as easy as people may make it out, its hard and takes practice adn theory lessons

I am experiencing a major rush, this is incredible and as someone that has only really began to explore Durutti Column in the last few weeks I am excited at the prospect of finding more great songs from them and Vini. His guitar playing is amazing, why has he never had more recognition? I cant get over how good this is.....
