Kempff is a wizard, the neg about wrong notes is mere lack of real ear. have you read the score here? noooo, neither me, but i can appreciate the feeling over the 'perfect' rendition's straight faced shit any day. 1 that can take as closeted a piece as this and breathe some real FIRE into it deserves some back-up. Kempff is a WIZARD

Kempff plays this at a very fast tempo. Too fast for my taste, though it works well in many passages.
Thanks for posting this. I love this piece, and it's fascinating to hear the variations in how different pianists interpreted it.
