Stimulus Plan Explained by Abbott & Costello

Comedy duo Abbott & Costello do a good job of explaining Obama's stimulus plan long before anyone even knew there was such a thing as a stimulus plan or the possibility of the economic pressures we are facing today.

Okay. So they lived through the Great Depression. The question is, what will we call THIS depression. I know. I know. Washington is telling us its not a depression, not even a recession. They are telling us that the 2,000 plus pork-filled pages of the trillion dollar stimulus package that no one really understands WORKED and everything is okay now, it flies in the face of reality.

What I"m hearing from Washington doesn't match up with what I'm seeing in real life.

The IMF (International Monetary Fund) has devalued the dollar and is predicting that China will overtake the United States as the leading world economy within five years. When I filled up my gas tank yesterday it cost me $100 and my grocery bill has more than doubled. The unemployment rate is continuing to sky-rocket in spite of The Man's reassurances that its under control. Currently there are 13.5 million Americans out of work.

All that and the Obama White House still insist that the recession is over and we are on the way to economic recovery. I can't tell you how much I wish he was right. But reality tells me that's just talking points and an attempt to con us into believing that what we are experiencing isn't reality.

The video below is Abbott explaining to Costello how 'loafing' is a way to make money with a Union. That was before they paid for the political clout to make it politically incorrect to criticize unions. It was also before there was a stimulus plan, paid for by the American people, to support unions and any other business to whom the Obama Administration owed political favors.
