Impromptu vlog outside a coffee shop in Mokdong.
I wrote something similar in my journal, and then just turned on the camera.

Inspired by:
Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
"..but there is much beauty here, because there is much beauty everywhere."
~Letter 5

Whether I come back or not, it's the end of an era. And I'll miss Seoul from this place and time.

  • Heh, I generally go 'Yeah it was good'

'what, you've been gone a year and it was 'good'? Nothing else?'

    'Yep'.

  • @ABombs1 Well usually if you start ACTUALLY talking about your experience, I find that people don't really listen. To me its obvious most people aren't actually interested in where I've been, they may just be happy that I'm back. I come from a really small town though, not sure if that's why.

  • This is a great video. I love the message, and it's true, and it cuts through that stupid question, "How is Korea?" But then, I guess it's such an easy question to ask that people can't help asking it. But then, some people do have such simple, boring experiences where they go, that they really do have simple answers for such simple questions.

  • @p00lman Thanks Michael. You're right, there are a lot of people here that don't seem to be doing any different than what they did at home.

  • Love this: "you can live in the moment wherever you are, whatever you're doing...no matter how small your stories are when you go back home."

  • @travelsofadam Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

  • @raziel972 Yeah. Same kinda thing I think as in Korea, where they ask if you've had lunch, or are you at peace - with no actual intention of taking you to lunch or discussion your life.

It's just taken a step further with long absence.

  • In one week???? Wow, time flies. We head out in one week as well.
