Phyllis' family is from Greensboro, N.C. Phyllis use to come to Greensboro a lot to visit her grandmother. Every time she visited she would do interviews on the A&T State University's radio station (WNAA). She was very down to earth and a very genuine sister. She is truely missed by all.

This is my most favor song by Phyllis. This is her greatest song. I heard this song when I have a teenage by in the late 80's. I then knew what love suppose to feel like after hearing this song. This is a great wedding song, when I get married this will be the couples dance song. Miss you Phyllis. You are soo missed and loved. I wish you knew this before your death. See you later in Paradise, Rest for now. You and Vesta love both of you.

Her mental illness was a part of her like any other illness. However, it should not define the whole of an individual. Again many of the geniuses of history suffered with various forms of mental illness. Do we deny the diabetic the right to define themselves as more that just a diabetic. Why would you treat mental illness any different? It is this kind of attitude that keeps many from seeking help. The fear that they will be define by their illness.
