My Grandfather gave me this workhorse, its was in storage since about early 1980's Carb and sparkplug clean it started right up.
I think it was maafactured in 1957.
It has a Villers 2 Stroke Engine which is started by a kickstart.

  • @30GB yea these villiers engines are great, dont think they have many over where u are.

  • Hi there, nice engine, you can get the date of these by removing the screw on flywheel cover, the month and year is tamped beneath, for example mine is: "8 55"

Theses have a bore and stroke of 50mm by 50mm and are 98cc producing 1hp at 2,700RPM. They also run a 16:1 petrol: oil ratio.

  • @steamwally thanks for the info, i run it on 25:1 but its a modern good mineral oil so i think it will be fine.

  • Nearly the same as mineust be

  • Thats ok, you really should run it on the correct mixture, it will get too hot otherwise.
