This video covers some of the more common load points that threats use in Windows.

This video was originally recorded at a larger resolution than what YouTube could support at the time. Since the details were hard to view in the original release, we've re-released the video at its native resolution.

  • the problem here is that malware can also inject itself into current running / startup procresses, meaning you have to download specific programs that can look into processes and hang off any injected processes, not long ago a friend of mine had malware on his PC, but the malware couldn't be delete. this was because it was injected into regular Windows processes and i used a program to look into the processes and i was able to track the malware and hang it off the windows process and delete it.

  • How could i tell on a Windows7 computer??

  • Currently, malwares also use the hidden folders System Volume Information and the Recycler folder.

  • You could just use virus total or System Lookup
