California: stats challenged

Poor Mr. Steinberg, he's the chairman of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Autism and apparently he's being fed these ridculously misleading statistics. Even the Autism Society of America isn't saying "over 1.8 million" these days are they? Aren't they still using 1.5 million? As far as Autism Diva can tell no one corrected Mr. Steinberg, so it would appear with all the autism experts and wannabe autism saviors who are on the panel and who spoke to the panel, no one understands autism statistics enough to make it clear how many autistic Americans there are and what their ages are.

Connie, of the previous video, is Connie Lapin. Her son's name is Sean. She suggested that they include " person with autism" to their panel. Had such a person been on the panel he or she might have pedantically insisted that they get their stats correct.
