RTC San Diego 1991 CO 248. I agree that this is very sugar coated at least in the way the RDC's are behaving. However, I can easily say that they have much better training and living facilities than anything I had at San Diego. I wish I'd had the opportunity to train in this environment. I think that it's a much more relevant and practical training program that they have now versus what I went through.

I'm impressed, high standards but not nearly as intense as the USMC. I was ARMY which is more physical but I like what I saw.

Navy is the only branch of the service that doesn't exploit the hard parts of their basic in videos. Navy likes to keep some things a surprise.

During boot camp everybody thinks it the worst tme of their life. After boot camp everybody swears it was a cake walk. Thats how it has always been. Hindsight and Perspective is a helluva thing.

Wait a second. . .what's with the uniforms?! When I was in it was the Johnny Cash uniforms, and in the summer, it was whites. Do they even wear Cracker Jacks anymore?! Or Dress white jumpers?! What kind of crap is that?!

@MJB919 I remember going through RTC Great Lakes back in 1995. It was a lot more intense than this ever hoped to be. Did you guys ever have to "Abandon Ship"?

For all the people making dumb comments about the RDC's being too soft let me remind you that this video is a recruitment video. I went through Navy Boot Camp too years ago and not only was there alot more yelling but RDC's would constantly drop the F bomb in just about every sentance. This video is sugarcoated.
