Uncertainty is the worst feeling. But win or lose, that's what taking risks is for, even though sometimes it can be like a nightmare.

We went to this donut shop to shoot some test footage for an upcoming short film. I wanted to see what kind of look and mood we could get out of this location, then try work on the story of the short film from there. We ended up shooting this abstract, metaphorical nightmare-ish short film about risk taking. Thanks Matt for helping with the plot during the shoot.

Shot with all natural light. Some slight color correction on the indoor shots only. Outdoor shots left untouched. Shot handheld because I didn't think I was going to need my tripod for some test footage. Plus, we didn't have permission to shoot there, so I didn't want them to notice, which they didn't! GH1 = cinematic camera disguised as a dslr.

  • What program did you use for the indoor colour corrections? Looks great!

I have a GH1 but am can't seem to get it to perform like this. It doesn't seem

to handle low light all so well but you made it look easy.
