Masjid Al-Imam Al-Tirmizi, Taman Sri Sentosa, Kuala Lumpur.

The nation condemns the desecration of places of worship of any religion.

The recent incidence of finding the two severed wild boar heads wrapped in a plastic bag at the compound of each of the two mosques has taken this act of barbarism to a new height. It is utterly despicable.

Major-General (R) Jamil Khir Baharom, the Minister in the Prime Ministers department, in unison with Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing, said these were the act of provocateurs who are out to undermine peace and create an environment of uncertainty. He asks of the people to have faith in the police and allow the enforcement to weed out these menaces.

Muhammad Sabtu Osman, the Kuala Lumpur police chief reiterates that we have laws in this country, all should remain calm and abide by these laws, and let the enforcement carry out investigations to nab the perpetrators. He also appealed that should anyone have any information on the incidents to come forward to reveal the same.

Koh Tsu Koon, also the Minister in the PMs department, exclaimed that this is an irresponsible and insensitive act of the very few and all Malaysians condemn this work just like they had of the incidences at the other places of worship.

Ustaz Zulkifli Mohamad, the Head Imam of the Al-Imam Al-Tirmizi Mosque appeals to all Malaysians and specifically the Muslims in the area to curb any ill emotions and to allow the authorities to do their investigations and findings. He wishes for early conclusions of the investigations to curb any further speculations of the perpetrators and their reasons of doing so.

Nurul Izzah Anwar, Lembah Pantai member of parliament, said that while the police is carrying out their investigations to nab the perpetrators, it is pertinent that the Malaysian government sets up a Royal Commission of Inquiry to have a full investigation and full remedy. She believes that there is nothing more sacred than our integration and our nation unity and this has to be safe guarded at all cost.
