Miata vs VW R32 turbo

1995 Superchaged Miata vs VR32 turbo, I lost but got a 14.401 @ 94.66 mph, 1/4 mile, the 1/8 mile was a 9.203 @ 75.93 mph, not bad for 112 cubic inches on street tires. This was at ATCO raceway NJ.

I hate to say this but no Miata is sniping STI's.. AWD get off the line a lot quicker. I have a vr6 and I crush Miata's...

I've beaten 3 STI's, and one I beat a few times. When I say snipe, I mean no STI is expecting a Miata to be that fast. I think they are accustomed to chasing down anything. I know a guy with an 11 second Miata, I am sure he beats them all the time. I am pretty sure the guys I beat are afraid to break drive train components. They DO crush me at the track but they are ready to race hard even if not to beat me but to get a good time. Anything under 1/8th mile (light to light) and I got a chance..

hahaha, that was def not a turbo r32. that was a bonestock R32, so... just to let you know..

I guess nobody has heard of a bad run, it was a turbo, race ready, full roll cage, no interior, etc. His other runs were almost 2 seconds quicker. Some nights your car for whatever reason runs like shit, I've seen top fuel cars turn 14's when things go wrong.. I had a night where I did'nt even get into the 14's.

yes so you beet a few miata's remember it's the man first then the macine that's straight line racing so don't get a big head because you won a few races

nice run man... ya its hard to make low times in the drag strip.. people think that whatever they see on the magazines is what they are going to run in the actual drag strip.... and thats only the rookies who say that lol

do what they do in the midwest find an older v8 drop it in a miata it will run a 7 no problem lol seen it done to 2 different ones
