The new, redesigned Lofty Wiseman Survival Tool is what the survival and bushcraft fraternity has been waiting for. The tool is made entirely in England. The materials and method of manufacture are well tried and tested. The blade handle and bolster are formed from flat stock carbon steel (EN9) traditionally used in the manufacture of agricultural cutting tools of all kinds. This steel will take shock, hold an excellent edge, and is reasonably easy to sharpen.

Once the knife is hand ground it is hardened (54 Rockwell) and the handle fitted. The Handle is made of Beech - CNC milled by a firm of master gunsmiths - Boxall and Edmiston. The final honing of the edge completes the process, and once fitted into its purpose designed Cordura sheath it is safe and ready for use.

This tool has been designed to carry out tough and arduous tasks with great efficiency. It is sufficiently well balanced to make more delicate tasks surprisingly easy. The steel chosen will bend rather than snap. The knife includes a heavy weight Cordura Sheath.

  • lofty...the master of chatting up women with a knife.

  • I boughty the 8" as well as the 13".I spent almost $500 hard earned bucks on them. I absolutely love the blade: however, both knives showed up new in the box with the handles cracked through the screw holes closet to the hilt. I could not get any satisfaction from the manufacturer to replace my handles. I have much respect for Lofty, as I am a Vietnam combat Marine, and I know much of what he preaches. I do think that he should monitor the manufacturer more closely. The blades carry his name.

  • Lofty still holds the record for being the youngest trooper to pass SAS selection, at 18 years old. Legend. When you consider most successful recruits are in their mid 20s, and have a few years of experience in their original regiment, it's even more impressive that Lofty passed after only 1 year in the Paras.

  • "thats quite a formidable tool lofty" lol

  • If you live with it for a year you become expert at survival...^^

  • For $500--the handles should never crack like that
