Once you get pushed back behind the dunes is there still as much 'thermal'/climb effect? How does rides dunes work?

Wow you launched from a fair way back up the sandblow. How much of an effort is it to lug that gear up there. You would be stuffed. You prolly could have got to the pyramid. Nice footage.

My favourite spot! but sometimes the temperature at launch is about 40 degrees!!!
