She is very good, though why does everyone drop the fourth verse?

I never said you idolised Cromwell, "thanks." I simply said that he is widely respected and honoured in Britain. And that is not a sweeping generalisation, because it's true.
-
Thanks, but I for one don't idolise Cromwell (Oliver or Thomas). And I know a goodly other amount of people that hate that period of history for the wanton violence and suffering that man inflicted. Don't make sweeping generalisations about a race. If you insist, go preach to the French about Robespierre, at least they still live under that regime.

She just completely copied the Dead Can Dance version...
-
Well be that as it may, this is all massively irrelevant. I don't care what Richard Harris thinks about Cromwell and I don't care about his political sympathies, assumed or actual.
I've made my point and you lost yours a while ago. The idolatory which is afforded Cromwell is something of which the British should be ashamed.

Richard Harris also played an IRA fanatic, so the portrayal helped the British. That was British policy that there be no negotiations with the IRA because they were mindless fanatics. Then President Clinton, may God continue to bless him, gave the visa to Gerry Adams. Anyway, take a look at the Cromwell film. He's a godly action hero in that movie. So, I don't care what they say to you, they love their man Cromwell.

I don't really believe in glorifying anyone who wants to wipe another people off the face of the map.

I know that. I'm just saying it's totally unwarranted.

FYI Dead Can Dance aren't the original artists. Try again, fankid.

I'd go further and say that virtually no one in Britain knows what he did in Ireland.
