@Xerosch It's all about controlling small numbers of units in real-time (as opposed to building bases with large armies).

It's far more realistic, in the sense that you can easily score one-hit kills (rockets/grenades do more to infantry than just knock them about), cover can be broken, suppression exists, vehicles/ buildings are more realistically sized, your squad leaders gain experience, etc.

BeerUserSince1992 is right; it is very different from DoW 1, but also very good in its own way.
