  • it looks alot more like a meteor hammer, but none-the-less cool

  • Clarification that I've posted a whole bunch around. Yes, according to traditional Chinese martial arts, that is both a meteor and a (dull) rope dart. There's also the double-ended thing that's also called a meteor. In the California/Bay Area spinning community, we call any one long thing on a rope a "Rope Dart", and anything with two weighted ends a "Meteor". Is it wrong? not really. Does it make communication way eaiser? Yes. Are martial artists occasionally pedantic about naming? Oh god.

  • @08AbsoluteZero lol your rope dart of death sound awesome =) as a ninja i like your stile

  • nice one man. cool tune too, massive attack? yeah i made my self a fire rope dart/ meteor last year. Its quite good.

  • I made a practice dart so i could learn cuz when you first start all you basicaily need is a weight on a rope right well i tied a pad lock to a rope went out and practiced and it seems to work pretty well i got some simple wraps down and can do a basic bird kick with it

  • i dont know if this has been said before, but the the rope swinging out of the right hand should be on the other side. I.e coming out of the right hand on the little finger side. not the thumb side

  • @Trailerparkstoner i realise yur comments over a year old but the rope an chain weapons were never a "primary" weapon tho, they were carried as backups to the more mainstream wpns like the broadsword and would be thrown to entangle or used if lacking range against their weapon, so you wouldnt see it used too much or used correctly especially on here, its been adopted by the wushu community as well, they do more aerial kungfu thats for movies and theater, not real fighting sets

  • i come from a kungfu background but im studying at a dojo that does hojojutsu so my rope darts coming out to play once more

  • Thanks for sharing this! I spin hoop and staff myself and just discovered Rope Dart and can't wait to try this out. :) much love from the north

  • You are awesome! I always had difficulties to see how it works, but now I understand (atleast a bit of it) how it works, and how they make them so fast! Physics, yay :D

    thanks a lot!
