The SOG Kiku model KU-01 was built by SOG and Kikuo Matsuda of Kiku Knives. Only 100 of these knives will be produced at the rate of three per month. The blade of the KIKU is made of a steel called OU-31, which is 3 times tougher than D2 steel. OU-31 holds an edge 10 times longer than ATX-34. The handle is a green canvas micarta. A wood box is included that holds the KIKU and makes a perfect display stand. A fine leather sheath is included along with a certificate of authenticity. If you are looking for a knife that impresses, the SOG Kiku will do nothing less.

  • Absolutely wicked gorgeous blade! SOG really went all out on this one! They picked a great knife maker to design this one for sure.

  • I honestly don't care how nice that knife is looks wise. The fact is that is one fucking badass knife I would love to have as my EDC.

  • It's a beautiful knife and for the same price I bought my perfectly running old GMC truck for.This knife could be made of lesser steel and still wouldn't matter because it's never going to be used because of the rarity.Anythin Matsuda makes because of reputation is going to be for display.

  • man if i own this id be hard pressed to put it down that is som real fucken eye candy .... beautiful :'}

  • Any knife can hold an edge 10x longer when it's only for display...lol

  • @redeemer61190 Yes, they are on the same tier of steel quality. I personally like to stay a little less exotic and go with VG-10 or S30V in my blades tho. Both are great steels and easier to come by...

  • @05AltimaSER Nice, so it could compare to something like INFI by Busse?

  • @newtubetubetube I can tell you're upset, and I apologize for offending you.

  • @Evak103 Agreed. Although it might be hand worked and think leather its plain and ugly. I would also like to see a nice case but meh still an amazing knife. Im thinking about buying one next month and will probably post a vid of it when i do...

  • @redeemer61190 D2 is actually pretty tough, just more brittle because of high carbon content. But yes OU-31 is very tough steel. Whats impressive is that everybit of it is handworked. A steel that tough with grinds and angles like that is very impressive and testament to Kiku Matsudas skill and passion...
