I'm quite a hairy man, with a full beard. Is this gonna scare people (and my students) away when I get to Korea?
-
Sometimes It's the kimchee that is eaten and then sweat out that causes the strange odor. "You are what you eat" they say. I always got my deodorant on the base.

korean people eat kimchi and daenjjang all the time and its super smelly. but as a people they really aren't that smelly. deodorant just isn't that necessary when you're not hairy.

lol are you serious? Go to the store and buy deodorant. Get out of the shijang and go to an actual grocery store, convenience store, or department store. You couldn't find deodorant on an American street vendor, why would you expect any different?
