HINDRAF & HRP Conquers DUN Sri Andalas & Parliament Kota Raja.

The Orange Revolution begins in Kota Raja and Sri Andalas, Selangor.
Hindraf Makkal Sakthi and HRP marked an important milestone in their continuing struggle to bring change for the marginalised Malaysian Indian society by officially opening the Bilik Gerakan and State Headquarters for the Human Rights Party Malaysia for the state of Selangor at 6.30 pm yesterday, the 17th of May 2010.

Located right along the main road in Sri Andalas, this centre of operations will be the focal point for HRP and Hindraf Makkal Sakthi in their bid to capture the Parliamentary seat of Kota Raja and the state seats under that constituency especially that of DUN Sri Andalas as a part of the 15/38 Political Empowerment Strategy. This is the second official opening of a State Headquarters for HRP, the first being opened in Johor. With Penang and Kedah to follow in the next two months, this shows the commitment of the respective State councils and the HRP/Hindraf Makkal Sakthi leadership and supporters in championing the cause of the neglected and overlooked marginalised Malaysian Indian community and bringing to fruition the dream of effective representation both in the Parliament and the State Legislative Assemblies, something which the Malaysian Indian community has never enjoyed since independence under the BN government and for the past two years under the Pakatan ruled state governments.

The Selangor State council under the leadership of K.Selvam and the entire team deserve full praise and continuous support for what has been achieved so far, as well as what needs to be done so that the Orange Revolution will see the capture of the Parliamentary seat and state seats by HRP in the next General Election.
