I agree, I saw Inspector Hornleigh Goes To It at a festival a few years ago and have been hoping to see the other two since then.

If you want to see Sim in an even more brilliant (black) comic detective role you must see Green For Danger.

  • crackin good film

  • Same here, I never knew of this series of films and I enjoyed all three. They all have a great cast, are well crafted and directed and seemingly all on a minimal budget - a triumph! Thanks for posting.

  • I never heard of this series before! What a great comedy detective movie.

I only knew Alistair Sim from A Christmas Carol and also the St. Trinians movies (where he was in drag as the headmistress.) It was fun to see him in this comic role. Also, the actor who played the "foreign" bad guy was sort of "Peter Lorre Light"-- all in all, a very entertaining movie. Thank you!
