Fusion RF is a non-invasive skin tightening and lipo-dissolving treatment using radiofrequency energy, which uniformly heat the dermis. It works by producing heat when the tissues resistance converts the electric current to thermal energy deeper within the dermis.
The radiofrequency depends on the typical resistance of the tissues, therefore a high impedance tissue, such as the adipose tissue, generates less heat and the thermic effect is lower. The increased temperature in the dermis causes collagen contraction, realignment and new collagen production. It is used to treat skin laxity, resulting in firmer, younger looking skin. Heat induces fat cell elimination reducing the fat layer; it increases blood circulation to the area resulting in the drainage of the fatty deposits and toxins through the lymphatic system. After the first treatment the skin will be already smoother and more compact. Histological exams have also demonstrated that RF, besides stimulates new collagen growth, causes a reduction of the dimension of sebaceous gland. For this reason RF is successfully used in the treatment of acne. The reduction is over 75%. The treatment is absolutely non invasive. The patient will experience a brief, deep heating sensation as the RF energy is delivered to the skin and underlying tissue. This deep heating sensation is patients indication that collagen is reaching effective temperatures for tightening.
The epidermis (outer layer of skin) is protected by a built-in contact cooling. Anaesthesia isn't necessary; following the treatment there is no recovery or patient downtime and the client can immediately resume all routine activities.
