DTX Drummania played on my PC with Ion Drum Rocker

What do I do when not playing rockband? find other ways of rocking out... This is a sim of an arcade drum game I love to play. I chose Right on Time because its a fun song and doesn't use one of the pads all that much, as the Ion's don't have enough pads for the game I had to turn the high tom onto auto as Right on time had a total of like 5 high tom hits. I did pretty well, though the take right before this had quite an epic fail... If I get enough interest into what happened I may post that as well (Had to do with my Ion Drums).

So how do you have your ion hooked up to your computer and which model of the ion (xbox/ps3). I want to hook my up to a game called frets on fire, any suggestions?

I have the xbox ions, but I'm guessing as long as it connects with usp port the ps3 should work too. I downloaded a program called "xpadder" to map the drum to correpsond to keyboard button presses that I then mapped to the correct tracks on drummania. So if your frets on fire can be played with a keyboard this method would do just fine. If you have trouble finding xpadder. I found it from a link via the website game "Jam Legend"

i have rockband 2 drums for xbox 360.. how i use it 2 play DTX? just plug it in?

and.. what type of drum re u using?

If you have wired drums it will plug into the usb and use a program to map your drum pads to the computer, if you use wireless drums however, you will need to get some sort of way to connect them to your computer. I'm using Ion drums but as long as it plugs in with a usb anything would work for it

Can you tell me what programs are involved. Like what program are you playing on your PC? And where did u get it. and what is your pad. and how to set it up. i know its much that Im asking, but I'd appreciate it alot if you could answer. I want to play Drum mania on my PC badly :(!

I just set my red blue pad on my ion to play both the high and low tom. As they had a total of two high tom hits and one low tom it worked out quite well for this song, not so hot on others though it can get confusing.
