|Finland| December Starts On Sunday.

WARNING: It's necessary for this one—personified countries!!

...Where do I begin?

Okay. This was at first supposed to be primarily about the Winter War, with a lot more RussiaxFinland. I accidently deleted my first project (I have to stop doing that), so I thought, why not interpret the song in a different way? Instead of this mainly focusing on the Winter War, it is also about Finland's growth as a country (and still a lot about the war).

Important lyrics:

"December starts on Sunday...": The beginning of Finland's...well, life. :D

"Rumors have started that you are in love again/rumors that are completely unsubstantiated": Sweden's neutrality in the Winter War.

"Can't you see all this love, can't you see all this love?": Finland is a generally easygoing guy, so I think he would be willing to forgive Russia (especially since they are on good terms now, irl).

"We are not evacuating this house/we don't believe in you and your wrecking crew.": Finland growing stronger and fighting for his independence. /cheesecheesecheese

Overall, it came out more bitter than I had intended, especially at :46-1:02. But after the bitterness, I like to think it shows how better Finland is for all he's been through.

Oh yesh, the symbolism is strong with this one, in every picture and effect (which this was kind of an experiment for) and it's the most meaningful tribute I've done. The song is so lovely and by my favorite artist, but this is just me rambling...again. I put a lot of love, research, and BLOOD into it. In short: I've absolutely fallen in love with Finland.

I love how the emotion is fragmented and consistent at the same time. The way different feelings and thoughts are present and still belong in the same continuity. Finland's character appears full and real.

The Sweden/Finland part had me worried for a second *doesn't ship it* but symbolism makes everything better. Which reminds me: great use of meaningful pictures!
