[http://www.neverinactive.com] Watch in HD so you can hear how incredible this thing sounds! Our initial test of Rode's NTG2 shotgun mic. Super impressed! Wait until you guys hear how directional this thing is. It's also built like a tank!

Read our mini-review and view high detail photos of the microphone here: [http://bit.ly/tPjryS]

Looking for an extremely high quality recording solution at a reasonable price? Check out the Zoom H4N: [http://bit.ly/110xBb]

  • what audio interface are you using?

  • For this specific Video, we used a cheap little USB to mini-jack interface, but are currently starting to do work using the Zoom H4N, an audio interface / recorder that lets us record directly from XLR to four discrete channels.

  • To test this microphone so near from your mouth is not a test but a bullshit.

  • good mic but wrong pre amp

  • THANK YOU!!

  • this is, how well does this pick up voice from like 1 meter away? outside etc

  • Thank you for the sound bite mate, although you could have dropped the audio (in Post) when removing and adding the dead cat.All in all worth watching.

  • @frosty470 Plug in the Phantom Power (48V) from your camera, mixer or seperate 48V.PSU,the other option is the 1.5V AA Battery, there is no actual switch ,the mic is live when any of these power sources are applied.I hope this helps.

  • @madsad1112 yes it is,all you need is a "AA Battery" and an XLR to 3.5mm (1/8") TRS Plug , Job Done...sound quality on the other hand will depend on your sound cards internal preamp.

  • is it possible to plug NTG-2 to my laptop directly

  • whats the name of the song?
