I feel so cheap. I just heat up a small pot of water in the microwave and pour it into a mug with a packet of Swiss Miss. Maybe add in a shot of Reddi Whip from a can left over from Thanksgiving. LOL!

I have never seen you make a cake from scratch and, why throw it away?, no there is no reason to throw it away, you can still indulge and not cause your body any harm. Food is not evil, it cannot harm you, only a person can turn the food into a weapon by abusing it with over indulging and excess.

Yes, Haiying, I also don't enjoy regular commercialised hot chocolate since I made it once with milk, cocoa, vanilla and a bit of sugar. You are so right here. I also ruined my taste for chocolate cake made from a mix because I have a good, real cocoa cake that I bake versus the "chocolate flavored" cake mixes!
