I started to compose this song in 1990 on the night before Wendy was to have her mastectomy. I remember sitting at the piano flooding the keyboard with my tears at the thought that I could possibly lose her. I started to reflect on my life with Wendy and how she gave of herself so unselfishly.

Dad helped me complete this song and he, along with Duff Robinson, arranged it and recorded it. I presented this song to Wendy on Mother's Day of that same year. This is my favorite song because it meant so much to Wendy and allowed me the opportunity to express my true feelings for her. Wendy told me that when she passed on she wanted Mitch Holash to sing it at her memorial service. He did. I know Wendy would have been so very pleased.
