ava by a mile,she was far more beautiful than taylor,liz even said so herself,ava in her heyday was classed as the most beautiful woman in the world,her only competitor in the beauty compartment was hedy lamarr,period.

@caleche78 what i have read about marilyn monroe was that the screen brought out her beauty more that she looked in real life, it was the opposite for woman like ava. dont know about rita hayworth, she is very pretty, very glamourous, but not as beautiful. although betty davis thought rita the most beautiful. in the movie the loves of carmen, i always thought linda darnell was more beautiful than rita. its a matter of taste, i guess.

i will not judge on this, but i have read more than once that pictures and the movie screen didnt do justice to ava, same thing was said of gene tierney. it makes me wonder how that is possible, how can someone be that much more beautiful in person than what you can see in pictures. but it happens.

OK...Elizabeth was slightly more pretty and very classy. Ava was beautiful and I believe more

gutsy. The world is a LOT less for the loss of both.

liz taylor was stunning,but ava was even more so,taylor said herself that ava was the most beautiful women she had ever seen and everyone said that when you saw ava in the flesh the hair on your arms would stand on end she was that beautiful and she had the perfect figure to go with it.
