I think once a person reaches the kind of expertise in a game where he can pull off stuff like this, where you don't play so much for fun anymore, when the only thing left to do is be "competitive", than that person can just put the controller down and never play again. You can stop now, you've won.

@Jonruy That's like saying people who play music professionally no longer play it for enjoyment just because they put in tons of work rather than just playing their instruments onlye very now and then. Just because someone plays a game more than someone else doesn't mean it's no longer fun.

@KRDsonic Eh, I see where you're coming from, but there are two differences. Professional Musician isn't a competitive career - at least not in a head-to-head kind of way. Also, no one earns millions for playing Brawl. One person or team cannot become so good at a sport that they can't be beaten. Video games are different. If someone plays to compete, and he can manipulate the game so that he never loses, then why play? Play a lot and have fun, definitely, but there's a limit to competition.

@Jonruy Actually no, you can't make it to where you never lose. Whenever something like that happens (such as metaknight's infinite dimensional cape) it gets banned. Ice Climbers' chain grams may look broken, but they are also one of the hardest characters in the game to get a grab with due to their poor grab range, and you have to have Nana with you to actually do the chain grab which is a lot harder than it sounds. Also, ever heard of battle of the bands?

@GCLU Marth disjointed hitboxes, KingDDD/IC camping/Defense supports them alot and Olimar still has the grab range to punish sheild users and has no reliance on chain grabs or releases is why I put them where there are. Yoshi I will say,should have been lower than Mario or at least Pokemon Trainer.

P.S. Forgot to mention Pikachu will C tier underneath Fox

Marth without the ability to grab release, IC's without the ability to chain grab, and kIng D3 without this ability would lower them down considerably

King D3 would be top of C maybe, Marth would be below Ness, Olimar would be where King D3 is or most likely bottom of A, IC' would be bottom of D at best if not top of E. Sheik and Yoshi would also be lower for similar reasons, Sheik as her main kill setups require grab releases and Yoshi for similar reasons.

@creamcool45 It's really interesting what chain grabs/Infinities do to ranking, since without them:

Diddy kong mix-up is crap

Falco will be very low on the list

Wario will be alot higher

Ness/Lucas will be higher than Olimar(Olimar rank 8th right now)

Donkey kong will be a bit higher

King Dedede would be low as well
