This keyboard is quite a classic, designed by Giugiaro in the 80's (1983 to be precise). I received it recently in not-so-well condition... some keys don't work, some rhythms stops sudennly and the accompaniment.. well, don't accompanies!

However some sounds still are there, i've played a Equinoxe tune from Jean Michel Jarre and i like it very much. It sound like a Farfisa - well in fact it is! both companies are linked and built from Italy.

Next step is open it, cleaning and try to make full work this "old school" keyboard from Bontempi. Keep watching...

  • I bought one of these brand new back in 1986.Mine was white and called the X301.Same keyboard as the one being demonstrated. They pop up fairly regular on eBay at low prices.

  • I just found one of these in my grandmother's closet. The adapter wasn't with it. I wanted to know what adapter will I need for the power supply? Also, have you tried connecting it to your computer? Thanks.

  • @stereobrowser I thinks its from 83

  • This is the BEST portable Bontempi keyboard i've seen 'till now, looks like it's from around 1987 or '88.

  • that harpsichord like sound starting at abou :40 is pretty sweet.

  • Is this a collectable? I just claimed one from my grandma.
