@IdaSputum If you believe hell's a real place, I'd be interested to hear your evidence. I think it's a metaphor for being separated from the universal values in life--things like honesty, willingness, charity, loving kindness, etc.

@drumrnva - Crucifixion was real. - hell is real. My empirical evidence tell me it's all real.
But to pursue your line, just to see where your heads at for the hell of it, OK in your mind, what could hell be a metaphor for? Hell is like a hellish thing ? In other words it's hell.

@IdaSputum Maybe I'm not being clear enough. I'm saying that metaphor in the bible extends far beyond the fruit thing. I think the cross, the crucifixion, hell, angels, the talking snake, etc--I see it all as metaphorical.

Believing is a term taken out of context of the word of God.; To believe in your mind only - is just thinking ...just knowledge.
True believing is when the mind and the heart are in one accord in the state of belief or the lips will utter praise to Jesus and the heart will be far from Jesus.
Truly if one believes in his mind and heart then one will know he is a sinner and humbly repent of his sins to Jesus; desiring inviting asking Jesus in his heart as Savior.
