thanks for the advice. it seems to be working currently, but like yours it goes blue when you move the cube or do any other compiz moves. I did look through the menu's but saw nothing relating to X11, i was gona maksure it was using it.

Wow. Remarkably smooth. Much snappier than I would expect it to be.

sorry forgot to ask, is this on SSD or a SDHC card? and are you using swap?
hawko84 3 years ago
SSD installation, erase of xandros install.
Yes I use swap, but the best would be not to use it (I will changed it personaly) and mount into memory temporary directories by adding to /etc/fstab/
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs defaults,noatime,mode=0777 0 0
tmpfs /var/tmp tmpfs defaults,noatime,mode=0777 0 0
tmpfs /var/log tmpfs defaults,noatime,mode=0777 0 0
tmpfs /var/log/apt tmpfs defaults,noatime 0 0
and use a 2Gb memory card.

hey nice demo. just wondering what software were you using for the cam? for me ucview wouldn't properly show the preview with compiz running :(
hawko84 3 years ago
just need to set some video settings in ucview menus, use X11 display, normally should work.
