LL Video Test #02 720x480 to 1280x720 rec

Read "Test #01" description for why I'm doing this.

This time I used Movie Maker to encode it to "Windows Media HD 720x (5.9Mbps)" to see what will happen.

Since its 1280x720, it obviously bloated up the original source video. Normally that would mean the quality will be bad.. but this is something I'm interested to see what will happen.

I must admit Test #01 was slightly better than my normal 640x480 recording though it is still only HQ ability.

Capture card used? I'd love to know..

very old school capture card which cost only $20 many years ago. It is out-of-phase for years now lol.

All it got is composite and s-video input.

Wow its actually not bad quality at all lol my capture card was 30 bucks from amazon it could never match this quality.

Do you use svideo or composite?

Always S-Video.

Composite is the worst and pretty blurry on my PC monitor.

I'm hoping to go component after I get a new monitor .

Looks like YT finally finish encoding it.

Normal Quality looks near same as the 720x480 quality I think? Someone with better eyes can tell me!

HD quality.. I can't tell if its better than 720x480 HQ or not.

Plus it is interlaced.. should it be deinterlaced or kept like this?

I noticed slight combing artifacts here and there. Try deinterlacing ? :P

Wow, the quality is a lot better. If I wanted to record PS2 gameplay with S-video for example, would I have to buy a PS2 svideo cable?

yeah alot better normal quality is good and using HD is even better, there is still a bit pix elation but nothing that makes a big difference. It's only noticeable if your looking for it.
