excellent instructor, way above average, nptelhrd is an ubergeek university, I want to go there and learn, thanks to everyone at nptelhrd for these great lectures, peace Y

thanx Prof. Kumar, come teach @ my university for god's sake!

@valveforlife Discounting abstraction levels, engineering is mainly the hardware side of things, which as I said is the physical design of a computer and its parts (ie processor ect). Computer scientists work with programming languages that are build upon the hardware created by the engineers.
-
You mean lowest level, abstraction wise?
-
Cant hear what he says

@AL6025 Computer scientists are more programming oriented. Therefore you would be participating in software design. A computer scientist may also work with the simplification and optimization of algorithms to speed up computers via software. Engineers are more involved with the actual physical makeup of computers, for example the logic gates that compose the processor or the ALU within a computer.

@HisMight1 You do realise that electronic engeneering represents knowledge of computers at the highest level. The manipulation of logic and its design.
-
@HisMight1 and you're a faggot for leaving such a gay and unjustifiable comment. You're probably some 14 year old faggot who plays video games all day. Show me that you know about computers instead of talking shit. Okay little faggot.

@AL6025 both i.e. computer engineering. That's my major.
The introduction to this vid is amazing. 5 Stars.

Thank you very much for posting this wonderful video on computer architecture. This helps people not able to join IIT to get a clear and correct understanding of computer architecture. Thanks a lot.
