Bart and Dirk sailing the North Sea 2009-07-24

We sailed out of the IJmuiden harbor at July 24h, heading for Texel. Wind was not that strong, 3-4 Bf. Waves were pretty high, 2-3 meters. Took a bit of water :)

yes it sure is! the most difficult part is just when you get out of the entrance, with currents going everywhere :)

Ijmuiden is a very odd place wavewise! When we were crossing the North Sea from Harwich to Ijmuiden in june last year we had a F5-6 blowing with waves in excess of 5m near the harbour entrance!
