We get serious in this part and begin our work on a very small Female warrior miniature. We use professional grade modeling epoxy. I review the techniques and process in this video.

  • I just want to point out that if you are worried about accidentally touching your face and what not with hand covered in that resin stuff, You can buy Vinyl Gloves from various websites, usually starting around $32 U.S. Vinyl Gloves are Latex free, can be purchased powder free if you're allergic to that too, and come in large packs, so they're disposable.

  • @jesternario Thanks, I use latex gloves but I should try those vinyl gloves and its great for people to know about these.

  • i know this is out of subject but instead of baking your figure can you microwave it and if so what temperature should i use ?

  • no, you can't microwave it. You have to bake it.

  • What are the relative benefits/drawbacks of Pro Create, Green Stuff, and Brown Stuff? I tend to favor Brown Stuff, but would be hard pressed to tell you why. It seems to be less sticky and hardens faster, but I'm a complete novice at all this.

  • hmm, i never tried brown stuff. I tend to favor procreate, it takes tooling a bit better. And it has a longer working time, about 2 hours compared to 90 minutes for green stuff. Those times can be tinkered with though.

you cant microwave it but can boil it if you dont want to bake it(baking takes a LONG time).

boiling clay only takes 5-30 minutes depending on how big your sculpture is.

just make sure you let the water cool down completely before removing your piece, otherwise it may crack because of the rapid hot-cold transition.

so basically, boiling clay is the best way to do it and also the quickest...about 45-60 mins total(boiling then cooling)

  • That's so funny! The tool you showed at 3:20 is my favorite tool too! :)

    Great vid!
