Vulture Woman Blues (original)

Howdy friend and neighbors. It's me again, comin' at you with another of my own songs. Made it up right out of my head, and had enough wood left to build a fire.

I originally wrote this as an actual slow blues (something like 'Brand New Companion' or 'My Starter Won't Start This Morning'), but I ain't the best in the world at playing slow blueses. Eventually, I thought it might sound good as a blue yodel. I still can't yodel, so I do it on the harp. Hope you enjoy.

My gal's a vulture, she's circlin' round my head x2
She ain't gonna rest until she sees me dead

She's pretty as a picture, mean as she can be x2
That vulture woman's made a wreck of me

She gives me the blues, I wanna lay down and die x2
And once I'm dead she'll pick my old bones dry

SHe takes home all my money, the blues is all she bring x2
Now my all I got's my guitar, to sit and listen to me sing

These blues ain't just a feelin', it's a heart disease x2
That vulture woman brings me to my knees
