How can you compare love between same-sex couples to humans and dogs? Oh and of course same-sex marriage will open doors to crazy behavior like humans wanting to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage license. And for your info. Marriage has only been defined between "one man and one woman" by religious groups and not by the law. Even though Pres. Bush has moved for an Amendment to define marriage between one man and one woman it failed to pass in congress.

So since the "main reason for marriage is to procreate," then old heterosexual and infertile couples should not be allowed to be married either. Am I right?

Homosexual marriage does exist in Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont you nit.

Okay, I'm sorry but YOUR reason is making children. The TRUE reason is clearly up for debate. Same-sex couples can still RAISE children through adoption. Thank GOD this amendment FAILED!

(continue to above post) Did you know that in the state of Massachusetts same-sex couples are allowed to be married and it is recognized as a marriage, not civil unions. America is slowly progressing with gay civil rights and one-day majority will not rule and justice will prevail.

Nope, but good question. The reason for marriage is first and foremost procreation, but isn't limited to only to this. Marriage from the begining of time has been defined as between one man and one women, not until very recent times has this idea of two men or two women getting married even been thought about. If we allow this why can't a person marry their dog? Or why can't one man marry 6 women? Marriage has been defined and that is between one man and one women. Sorry Barney

This is nothing more than rationalizing homosexuality. One doesn't have to have a degree in biology to know that anal sex is physically harmful for a man or women. Homosexuality is abnormal behavior that is being crammed down our throats as normal behavior by people such as Barney Frank.
