Here we are at the unloading of the kiln. It was a pretty good firing though the top was a little cooler than I like but the glazes work in a range of temperatures. There are a few pots to refire mainly in the Oribe glaze. I mention Wall pockets a lot in the video. If you aren't familiar with them they are wall vases that have a hole in the back so they can be hung on the wall. They are made and fired upside down.

  • I use 16lbs of table salt and I pour it onto boards approximately 2lbs at a time and just toss the board into the firebox.

  • It's a vase that is flattened on the back and then hung on the wall. check out the video where I make one.
