Alta = No Snowboarding Allowed

Alta Ski Resort is 1 of 3 ski resorts in the US that does not allow snowboarding. Burton held a contest to make the best video of "poaching" each of the 3 ski resorts. Each mountain has a purse of $5000. We poached Alta Ski Resort during spring break in Salt Lake City UT.

This video is for the Burton contest "Power to the Poachers". To view the other entries and get more information about the contest visit:

  • hahaha good job guys!

  • thanks man!

  • Someday they will be low on money and allow Snowboarding, until then there are only thousands and thousands of acres in Utah where you can ride powder. Being from North Carolina, it is hard to feel sorry for you.

  • What part of NC? We are from Charlotte...

  • i love this vid, these guys are so my heros

    keep your tips up lol

  • @zacharybyers or snowboarding will die out and go the way of the monoski

  • freestyle skiing would still be under the rock if it wasnt for boarders.. I like how the most watched Olympic event (snowboarding) is still banned on some at mountains especially a national forest

  • like micahmightbe i was a freestle skier and i would try skiing with skiers and they didn't like my skiing because i would ride freestyle so i picked up a board

  • He makes an extremely good point in that it's National Forest land. I myself am a freestyle skier and we get the downward glance from the "traditional" skiers at times too. It's all pretty stupid, and I used to be in favor of the ban, which would be fine, if the ski areas weren't on National Forest land. And there is only one of those I know of, Pajarito, NM. Good video. Can't we all just get along?

  • haha love the kids =)

  • Thank someone else agrees that without boarders the freestyle aspect of skiing probably would not have come around yet

  • the reason they come off green runs is because its easier to have them at the bottom of the hill with there own lift of rope, you fucking dip shit

  • astrosfan129 is a FAG!!!!

  • Hahahahaha sweet vid. How long is that Baldy hike? Keep your tips up!
