Does anyone know how I can read up more about what black irish means? All my family are Irish and are white and have black hair, I even have an afro, it's always confused me as I know most irish people have brown or ginger hair, I heard it's something to do with spanish or gypsies, dos anyone know?

there are a few theories but one would be of the dark hair and eyes characteristics. but then again it might be a play of the words and double meaning :) really love the show, touching and heartbreaking at the same time~
