Well, I don't see anything wrong with one or two live action shots (another Filmation specialty).

This is one of my favorite songs from this show.

That's Ug the Caveman from a SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH short.

The beat is similar to what's present in Bo Diddley's hits and in the frat rock hits of the early '60s.

Yeah, and the chorus has a similiar melody to the song "Shortnin' Bread". I've noticed thzat several of The archies' songs by Neil Goldberg have the same basic chord structure, which is one of the things thAt makes them so cool-you can sing them in counterpoint! For example-"Honey" and "La-La-La-La-Love", "Young Love" and "Don't Let it Get You Down" . Try it sometime-sing "Honey" while you're listening to "La-La-La-:La- Love" or vice-versa-it sounds very pretty!

Jungle George has almost the same lyrical beat as One Big Family....

Maybe in some circles The Archies were lame, but not to me. I love all kinds of music of that period, from pop to country to rock to bubblegum, to classical, to nursery rhymes, to protest songs, etc. One thing that could be said for The Archies' music is that at least it's upbeat and positive, offering simple, yet effective ways to tackling big world problems in small ways, instead of just saying that everything's rotten, but offering no solutions. What's so lame about that?
At work I listen to The Archies almost every day, and nobody calls me lame for it. I proudly boast about what a big fan of The Archies I am, and my boss and co-workers don't care because they respect the work I do, and if listening to The Archies makes me work better, then they're all for it! I'm not afraid to say that I love alot of things that other people call lame, and I don't care what they think. To me, what's lame is following the crowd just to look "in" instead of just being yourself!

"Jungle George", "My Singing Guitar", 'We're One Big Family', Sweet Saturday Night', Mr. Factory. (The first ecology song) and all 32 Giant Jukebox Archie Funhouse songs were written arranged and produced by Neil Brian Goldberg. ASCAP (Sugar Sugar was written and produced by Jeff Barry, who assigned the Giant jukebox project to Neil.)
