Bill Prickett - http://www.billprickett.co.uk shows how to carve a European woodcock, from a single block of lime wood. The sculpture was carved over a period of approximately 6 weeks.

  • Thank you for your nice comment about my work. About the feet, I have actually carved feet onto the sculpture. They are tucked up under the feathers as is normal when woodcock fly, so they are not very obvious. You can see photos showing this more clearly on my website, (under "originals" click on the woodcock photo) :

  • you should have made some feet but other than that its breath taking how the procces and such...
