Don't understand what this one-hit-discussion is all about. There has been other hits like "Lover Of Mine", "Song Instead Of A Kiss", "Sonny Say You Will" etc. and I like songs like "Our World Our Tmes", "The Last Time I Saw William" or "What Are We Waiting For" even more than "Black Velvet" because they didn't get the that much attention.

I am currently battling breast cancer myself when I stumbled upon this interview...it has impacted me a lot...I respect you, Alannah for doing such a real interview...and want to 'THANK YOU" as well, because it touched my soul in a way I can't explain !!!

Interesting how YouTube magically increases everyone's perception, IQ, music knowledge, medical knowledge, mind-reading ability - I could go on.- exponentially. She would be universally adored right now had she not had the misfortune of winning a Grammy and selling tractor-trailer loads of her Black Velvet CD. hey, just to let you know that a woman in Ontario Canada, was paralyzed from a stroke after a neck adjustment. Now after four years she is starting to talk and walk again.
