Any native of Mysore born during late 1970s and early 1980s surely will have heard from their grannies about the pomp and splendor of the Dasara during 60s. Belonging to such a genre, I stumbled over a video of Mysore Dasara filmed in 1968. No doubt, that the present Dasara is a colorful event as it used to be but the older one is matchless in terms of discipline and presentability!!! Thats my view though!!!
