Microtech Ultratech 7 UT7 OTF Automatic Knife Review

Reviewing the very cool little Ultratech 7 knife from the famed Microtech, who took home the Blade 2011 most innovative knife of the year award this year. While I don't think Microtech knives are quite as nice as they used to be, they still do some pretty amazing stuff.

I got an Ultratech pretty recently when I saw that they made some in those awesome camo schemes, mine is urban camo w/ dagger blade. The spring broke after only about three or four weeks; granted I did open and close it a lot in that time. Is that unusual, do you know? Do you think it was a fluke that it broke that fast?

@cme8890 Even if you opened it like a thousand times I think it should still hold up. Probably was a faulty spring, but should be covered under their warranty. I don't think is should break that fast.. probably was a fluke.

I haven't owned any of their really recent pieces, but anything back in their glory days was pretty bomb-proof. The Urban Camo is pretty sweet looking though.

I guess it's a good thing the switch is a bit hard to pull, wouldn't want the blade popping up in my pocket.
