@MongooseBikeRacer LOL! Really what happens is that Target doesn't take anymore inventory from Mattel because what they have on the pegs is not selling or maybe they plan on using the pegspace for something else. So Mattel already had them produced so they just tossed them in the can.

@TheMrMooMooCow Hi, I don't recall any models having opening doors for at least the last five years. It is just an additional labor cost that they can't afford to do. As for yours, as to whether it is collectible or not, it is probably still worth the original $1 if is was a basic car. Otherwise, it really doesn't add any value to the model.
