  • It says 7075 on the item description at crc. Me I don't really know.

  • hi ,been looking a the frame and was wondering what the sandover height is on a medium also have you any pics of it build up .

  • @godders7766

It's not ready yet :( The fork is on the way so maybe 2month until it's ready.

  • I built mine 2 wks ago and I'm seriously happy with it. Havn't been anywhere too extreme on it yet due to the weather but it's just chewed up every terrain I've thrown at it so far. You're gonna need a shock pump coz the shock needs setting to your weight to get it smooth. I set the shock to the 2 holes closest to the seat tube for the 120mm travel and it works well. With 120mm forks, Thomson 110mm stem and layback seat the XL is comfy and handles great XC wise (I'm 6'3) . VERY HAPPY SO FAR!!!!

  • Nice! Brand X is very much bike for the buck :) Do you have a picture to share with us or maybe put up a video respons?

    Thanks for shairing.

    /B

  • No stickers came along with the frame. It's black and I have not build it up yet. But It's looks like the Canyon Nerve AM a little bit when it's done. I got mine fron CRC to. I will get back with a video whenever the bike is done and I have tested it.

  • where did u buy ur bike....i bought mine at the house and its a sapiant

  • I thought 7075 aluminum couldn't be welded

  • @LiLPinoySteve -good question that I can't answer! I looked into it and just ended up even more confused! Found at least 3 ways to weld 7075 - laser - friction stir - & resistance - but seem a bit expensive for a bike frame of this price. Earlier frames made out of 7075 used to be bonded together. Unless its a typo and it's actually made of 7005..? It seems strong enough for what it's designed for (ie: not insane downhill or free riding) but no info on this frames fabrication spec anywhere.

  • Hi all, Uploaded a short vid with pics of my finished Brand-X FS-1 build. It's on my channel. Tried to attach in on here but I don't think it worked... Still really happy with the bike, finished the build 5 months ago and try to ride every day so it's had some wear & tear with no problems at all so far. It handles most terrain with ease and I'm riding stuff I wouldn't have dreamed of on a hard tail. If you're thinkin about buying it but unsure of the quality GET IT

    Happy trails ppl

  • 7075 Aluminium Frame? That Alloy has good Physical properties, but i thought that alloy isn't weldable?? Can someome enlighten me,please

  • I have a Brand X - Dirt Jump MK III frame with Rock Shox Tora forks. Love it.

    Think Brand-X is underrated kit

  • My pleasure. Let me know how you get on.

    Happy Trails bud
