Impossible Possibilities hosted its Inaugural St. Patrick's Day-5K Festival at Trinity Park located at 2401 University Drive in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday, March 14, 2009. The 5K was open to the general public and raised funds for the organizations Scholarship and Grant Initiatives. The event will culminated in a 5K run/family walk; however, the festival itself will consisted of a kids race, live music and awards ceremony. BK's Creative Catering was also on hand serving Dominion Farm's Irish smoked sausage and perfect pours of Guinness stout, Harp lager and Smithwick's ale.
The Impossible Possibilities Sponsor Expo provided a unique forum for local businesses to highlight their goods and/or services to the contestants, family members and spectators in attendance. Sponsoring businesses utilized the Expo to promote a new product, publicize a particular service or simply interact with the public.
The Kid Zone provided additional entertainment for children looking to jump head first into the afternoon filled with games and activities. The Kid Zone featured bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, a rock-climbing inflatable, obstacle course, quarterback blitz and basketball shootout. And for those searching for a relaxing getaway from the bustle of a normal day-to-day work week, Impossible Possibilities Center Stage will offered an eclectic mix of medleys from a trio of bands that performed.
So what did the kids run a 1 mile?
