thank you ! i found this all very helpful ! i been putting blonde highlights in my hair for well over 2 years i think and i'v seen my hair become considerably short over this time :/.i seriously miss having really long hair.so this helped me realize it's time i get closer to my natural colour and give my hair a break from all the dyeing

I kept trying to tell my family that (even though we're mixed). When I stopped listening to them, it grew like a weed. They kept telling me not to wash it every week or to always put grease in it but it never grew. All that wasted time I could have grown my hair... :/

@FlourPuff What is wrong with having thick hair? I understand that maybe you have been conditioned to believe that African American hair is at the bottom of the "beauty chain" but you need to really reevaluate yourself. Having thick, kinky hair is beautiful. I don't care what NO ONE says...having "permed" hair will NEVER be as healthy as if you were to have natural hair. I'm surprised that more women don't know what actually happens to the hair when they perm it. You should look it up.
